WEEKLY UPDATE
Week 3 continued with a little bit of everything—dominant shutout performances, a mercy-rule victory, a dramatic shootout, and several tightly contested games that weren’t decided until the final minutes.
As the season heats up, so has the intensity on the floor. A reminder to all players to keep their cool, respect the officials and opponents, and remember that everyone is here to enjoy the game. Competitive hockey is great to see, but sportsmanship helps make the league better for everyone.
REMINDER
- All players must complete the waiver at the top of the league page before stepping on the floor
- All players must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet, hockey gloves and all team players must have the same colour shirt (goalies excluded)
- The divisions are now set and the full regular season schedule has been posted.
RECAPS
Les Gars vs. Misfits
LG left no doubt in a dominant 10–0 mercy-rule victory, ending the game with nearly a full period still to play. The trio of Troccoli-Riok, McFarlane, and Turner drove the offense all game, combining for a huge share of the scoring and controlling play whenever they were on the floor. MF struggled to generate chances against LG’s relentless pressure, managing just three shots on goal in the game.
LG- Andy Hoang- 3 shots
MF- Kyle Dehaan- 22 shots
The Dad Shift vs. Leitrim Hawks
TDS used a strong all-around effort to earn a 6–2 victory over LH. The game was still within reach at halftime with TDS leading 3–1 and shots nearly even at 9–7. A powerplay goal early in the second half helped TDS extend the lead to three, and they never looked back from there, steadily pulling away to secure the win.
TDS- Josh Matthewman- 14 shots
LH- Carl Radford- 21 shots
Ottawa Mighty Drunks vs. Vicious Chickens
VC overcame a strong start from OMD to earn a hard-fought 6–4 victory in a game that stayed close until the final moments. OMD entered thinking they were underdogs but surprised early, carrying a 2–1 lead into halftime. Man advantage played a major role, with penalty trouble on both sides contributing to three combined powerplay goals and 24 total penalty minutes. OMD remained within striking distance throughout before VC sealed the win with a late empty-net goal.
OMD- Austin Blanchard- 31 shots
VC- Mathieu Lachance- 20 shots
Panthers vs. Balls Of Fury
BOF controlled the pace throughout the game and earned a 3–0 shutout victory over PAN. Despite being heavily outplayed in the first half, PAN stayed level thanks to a stellar performance from their goalie, keeping the game scoreless at halftime. PAN also successfully killed off a four-minute penalty before BOF finally broke through. BOF finished with a commanding 31–11 advantage in shots and gradually pulled away to secure the win.
PAN- Maxime Alarie- 31 shots
BOF- Pascal Rochon- 11 shots
Godsons vs. Flying Frenchmen
GOD pulled out a thrilling 4–3 shootout victory over FF in a game that featured momentum swings from start to finish. GOD carried that momentum into the second half, scoring the next two goals to take their first lead of the game. With under two minutes remaining, FF found the equalizer to force a shootout, but GOD needed just one round to secure the extra point.

Balls In Deep vs. Les Phoques
PHQ put together a complete performance in an 8–0 shutout win over BID, scoring four goals in each half to steadily pull away. PHQ even earned a penalty shot during the game but were unable to convert. While the shot totals were much closer than the score suggested, PHQ’s goalie was flawless between the pipes, turning aside every chance and giving BID no easy opportunities to get on the board.
