RECAPS

White B vs Blue B

It was a great finish to the season. The kids showed up and were surprised with a longer than usual game. No drills, just game time and boy did they give us a treat! The game was up and down the floor with both teams getting some great chances. Team Blue opened the scoring quickly then the goalies stole the show for most of the first half. Team White broke through scoring with 5 minutes to play in the first scoring on a rebound chance off the goalie’s pad. Team Blue answered back on the next shift to regain the lead. Team Blue went up 3-1 with under a minute left to play in the half. In the 2nd half, Team White came out quick and scored on the opening play to make it 3-2. 6 minutes later Team White tied it up and we were back to even. The game stayed tied until there was 5:45 left to play. Team White scored to take their first lead of the game. Team Blue would push hard to tie the game but were unable to find the tying goal.  Team White battle back and take the last game of the season 4-3 in a fun, fast nail biter. Great season everyone!

*** STARS OF EACH GAME ***

While stats aren’t everything, part of introducing the kids to HTBHL includes giving them a taste of what our adult leagues experience. For the 3 stars listed in the schedule section of the website, selections will primarily be based on game statistics, just as they are in our adult divisions. That said, we’ll also spotlight players from each game below who may not have earned a star but stood out for their teamwork, sportsmanship and effort throughout the game.

B STAR of the game – Vincent Hurtubise

GOALIE of the day – Zach Surette
